Apple Keynote Fall 2019 Highlights

On Tuesday morning, Apple showed off their next big thing in their keynote announcement.  The keynote announced a new iPhone model called iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, Apple Arcade, iPad, iWatch, and Apple TV+.  Below, we will look into each announcement to see what is new and exciting about each product.  

iPhone 11

Apple released a new model phone that’s a successor to the iPhone XR.  The iPhone 11 has an upgraded dual camera and is perfect for people looking for an affordable option. It starts at just $699!

The iPhone 11 comes with a 6.1-inch retina display.  The dual cameras on this device are wide and ultra-wide cameras.  The video has also been upgraded and supports 4K video up to 60 fps.  Additionally, Apple added night mode support to allow for low-light picture taking. 

This device also comes with Apple’s new A13 Bionic chip, which improves speed and performance.  Also, the battery life is one hour longer, compared to the iPhone XR.

The iPhone 11 comes in many colors such as green, purple, red, black, white, and yellow.  This phone will be available for pre-order on September 13th and will be on sale on September 20th. 

 

iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max

Apple also introduced the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max.  The iPhone 11 Pro comes with a 5.8 inch OLED display and the iPhone 11 Pro Max is a 6.5 inch OLED display.  Both of these devices come with 3 cameras- a telephoto camera, an ultra-wide camera, and a wide camera.  These devices will be released on September 20th and will start at $999 and $1099 respectively. 

The iPhone 11 Pro also supports night mode, so you can take amazing photos in low- light scenarios. It also has great video-taking and editing features.

The new OLED display is the highest pixel density on an iPhone yet, which they call "Super Retina XDR". 

Apple made a major upgrade to the CPU that the iPhone 11 Pro uses- A13 Bionic.  The A13 Bionic chip greatly improves speed and efficiency.  The battery life on both devices is significantly longer than the iPhone X’s model.

The iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max are available to pre-order on September 13th and will go on sale on September 20th.  Apple will also be releasing some new colors such as space grey, silver, gold, and midnight green.

 

Apple Arcade

Apple Arcade is a new subscription-based video game service launched by Apple. It will feature exclusive content from a variety of big-name and indie game developers.  This service launches September 19th and costs $4.99 per month. 

  

Apple TV+

In addition to Apple Arcade service, Apple has announced a TV service that will feature Apple original content, starring some big-names from Hollywood!  The service debuts November 1st and costs $4.99 per month as well.

 

iPad

Apple also released the seventh-generation iPad with a 10.2-inch retina display with improved performance that’s comparable to PC laptops.  The enclosure is made with all recycled materials and starts at $329.  

 

iWatch

Apple debuted the Apple Watch Series 5 with a display that never goes dark and improved features. This will start at $399.
